I wrote the December 2025 narrative to `output/mbr-narrative.md`. The script's figures are in `output/mbr.json`. The script's checks passed, so the figures reconcile to the cent.

- **Month:** Revenue was $827K against a budget of $824K, but operating income was $8K against $13K. Gross margin was 26.1% against 26.8%, and "Other operating" and cost of goods sold were each ($6K) off budget.
- **Year to date:** Revenue was $11.2M against $11.6M, a shortfall of ($362K). Operating income was $388K against $583K, a shortfall of ($195K). So the year to date does not confirm December's small revenue beat.
- **KPIs:** Four are off target: days sales outstanding, on-time delivery, active customers and inventory turns. The first two have missed target for three months running.

Two sentences in the Drivers section go slightly beyond the script's figures. I wrote that the revenue shortfall "built in earlier months" and that cost "grew faster than revenue". Neither carries a figure, and the first is only implied by the year-to-date total, so check both before this goes out.

The skill fixes the sections and wording, so the narrative gives no causes. The data doesn't show why other operating costs ran over or why the KPIs slipped.
