December closed one day late. There were 30 tasks and 3 finished late. The reporting package, CL-30, was due WD+5 and went out WD+6. All 30 tasks are now complete, and the script's checks that the task counts add up passed.

**What caused the delay:** The accrual register sign-off, CL-17 (Dana Whitfield), finished WD+4 against a due date of WD+2. It was the first late task on the path to the reporting package, and the tasks after it, CL-28, CL-29 and finally CL-30, ran late too. The cycle count adjustments, CL-08 (Marcus Oyelaran), were also late, WD+2 against WD+1, but didn't hold up the package.

**Other problems:**
- **Tasks done out of order:** The fixed asset roll-forward, CL-21 (Priya Raman), was finished WD+1. The task it depends on, CL-20, wasn't done until WD+2, so the roll-forward was built before its input was final.
- **No supporting evidence:** Two tasks were marked complete with nothing attached: AP cutoff review, CL-11 (Tomas Herrera), and the sales tax return, CL-24 (Marcus Oyelaran).

**What to fix for next month:**
1. **Dana Whitfield:** start the CL-17 accrual sign-off earlier. Getting it done by WD+2 is what gets the package out on time.
2. **Priya Raman:** don't start CL-21 until CL-20 is finished.
3. **Tomas Herrera and Marcus Oyelaran:** attach evidence before marking a task complete.
4. **Marcus Oyelaran:** start CL-08 earlier so it's done by WD+1.
