The December 2025 MBR deck is built: `output/IS_MBR_2025-12.pptx`. The build script checked it and printed:

> December 2025 deck: 6 slides, 61 figures, every one from a source. Wrote output/IS_MBR_2025-12.pptx and output/deck.json

The slide plan I wrote is in `output/slide-map.json`. Every figure was copied as printed from `output/scorecard.json` and `output/mbr.json`.

**What I chose:**
- **Headline:** revenue beat budget, operating income missed budget by ($5K), the year-to-date gaps, and that 4 of 8 KPIs are off target.
- **Drivers:** the three biggest variances this month (Other operating, Cost of goods sold, Technology), plus year-to-date Revenue at ($362K).
- **Watch list:** all four off-target KPIs, starting with Days sales outstanding and On-time delivery percent, each off target for 3 months.

**Check before it goes out:** gross margin looks different on two slides because the two source files measure it against different benchmarks.
- On "P&L vs budget", the 26.1% margin is below the 26.8% budget, a gap of (0.7).
- On "KPI scorecard", the same 26.1% counts as "on target" against a 26.0% KPI target.

Both are correct as printed, but someone reading the deck may ask why the same margin looks like both a miss and a hit. I didn't try to reconcile them by hand. It's worth deciding whether the 26.0% KPI target should line up with the 26.8% budget.
