The December 2025 deck is built: **`output/IS_MBR_2025-12.pptx`**. It passed the builder's checks on the first run.

> December 2025 deck: 6 slides, 64 figures, every one from a source. Wrote output/IS_MBR_2025-12.pptx and output/deck.json

The six slides are the title, Headline, P&L vs budget, KPI scorecard, Drivers and Watch list. Every figure is copied from the `display` blocks of `scorecard.json` and `mbr.json`. The slide map I wrote to build it is in `output/slide-map.json`, if you want to change any wording.

**What I chose to put on the slides:**
- **Headline:**
  - Revenue was $827K against a $824K budget, and fell ($72K) from November.
  - Operating income was $8K against a $13K budget, a variance of ($5K).
  - Year to date, revenue has a variance of ($362K) and operating income is $388K against $583K.
  - 4 of 8 KPIs are off target.
- **Drivers:**
  - Other operating, ($6K) in the month.
  - Cost of goods sold, ($6K) in the month.
  - Revenue, ($362K) year to date.
  - Salaries and wages, ($38K) year to date.
  - I left out Technology's favourable $4K in the month and Cost of goods sold's favourable $196K year to date. Swap either in if you'd rather show some good news.
- **Watch list:** all four off-target KPIs.
  - Days sales outstanding and On-time delivery percent have been off target for 3 months.
  - Active customers has been off target for 2 months, and Inventory turns for 1.

**Things you may be asked about on Monday:**
- **Gross margin:** the KPI scorecard shows Gross margin percent as on target, at 26.1% against a 26.0% target. The P&L slide shows the same 26.1% as (0.7) pts below a 26.8% budget. The two come from different targets in the source files, so both are correct, but the two slides can look like they contradict each other.
- **Rows that don't add exactly:** amounts are rounded one at a time, so in the month the Gross profit, Operating expenses and Operating income rows don't add up exactly. The deck prints that note under the P&L table.
- **Cost of goods sold:** the line-item figure on the Drivers slide ($584K in the month) is lower than the COGS subtotal in the source file ($611K). It looks like the subtotal also includes Freight out, but I haven't confirmed that.
